I can confirm. This happens to me as well. I tried using "apt-get update && apt-get install" and got this:
Code: [Select]
Err http://ftp.heanet.ie pclinuxos/2010/updates evince 2.32.0-6pclos2012
  404 Not Found [IP: 193.1.193.64 80]
Failed to fetch http://ftp.heanet.ie/pub/pclinuxos/apt/pclinuxos/2010/RPMS.updates/evince-2.32.0-6pclos2012.i586.rpm  404 Not Found [IP: 193.1.193.64 80]
E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?

So I re-opened synaptic and change the repo from ftp.heanet.ie to ftp.jaist.ac.jp and it worked. There must be a temporary glitch at heanet.
