two pclos on same hd
« on: September 09, 2012, 08:42:05 PM »
My partitions are sda1 - ntfs, sda2 - extended, sda5 - swap, sda6 - distro, sda7 - home, sda8 - distro, sda9 - pclos kde 4.6.
If I install pclos kde 4.8 into sda6 (replacing the disro that is there) and tell installation to use the /home partition for my home folder(don't format), will the existing home folder for sda9 be overwritten?

Thanks,
Harold

Why would it? You'd be working with two totally different partitions. Use the Custom partitioning option, and designate only the / and /home partitions, nothing else, and don't let it format the /home partition.

Of what use be there for joy, if not for the sharing thereof?
