Updating Full Monty

I installed the older version of Full Monty onto a USB drive, and of course the new version is out two days later. Anyway, I would go through the normal update process... but I have no Internet in PCLinux. Yes my Internet works, there's an Ethernet cable connected and it shows that wifi is connected, but no luck. So, I was wondering if there was a way to update an existing install without Internet. I would assume a basic reinstall from the iso, but I have no idea.

I love me some Linux, but I used to think _Ubuntu was superior. That is, until after installing it on 4 machines I had to use my backup PCLinux USB to repair it 'cuz I tried a nightly build and it was @$$. Now, I keep an _Ubuntu LiveUSB key, a PCLinuxFM and Pheonix key, and a Win7 key. Just in case.

The older FM image is a full year old now and won't upgrade properly anymore. You need to install from the new FM image.

Also, do you happen to know if there are any downfalls to having the OS installed on a flash drive?
