[solved] chromium-browser shows "couldn't load plug-in" for pdf link

kparts should allow pdfs to be rendered in Chromium, according to that page, but even after a reinstall of Kpartsplugin Chromium still fails to show PDF files  

Actually, the part of the instructions that worked for me was to download the proper .deb file, extract the libpdf.so and copy it to the /user/lib/chromium folder.

After a couple of false starts with incorrect files, I eventually got the correct libpdf.so file and all is working again now.

This is the file I used in case anyone else wants it.

I renamed the existing file in /usr/lib/chromium-browser/ and dropped in this one. Restarted Chromium and all is well so far.

I've just grabbed a copy from your dropbox and everything appears to be working just fine now.

Thank you for the download of the right file. have been trying this a couple of times now with no luck.
It works fine with this lipdf.so file.
