kparts should allow pdfs to be rendered in Chromium, according to that page, but even after a reinstall of Kpartsplugin Chromium still fails to show PDF files  :(

Actually, the part of the instructions that worked for me was to download the proper .deb file, extract the libpdf.so and copy it to the /user/lib/chromium folder.


After a couple of false starts with incorrect files, I eventually got the correct libpdf.so file and all is working again now.

This is the file I used in case anyone else wants it.

I renamed the existing file in /usr/lib/chromium-browser/ and dropped in this one. Restarted Chromium and all is well so far.



I've just grabbed a copy from your dropbox and everything appears to be working just fine now.

Thank you for the download of the right file. have been trying this a couple of times now with no luck.
It works fine with this lipdf.so file.
