Sorry to be a bother lately- but new KDE desktop installation needs a bit of tweaking [hopefully this is the last for awhile].
I am not able to watch DVDs,
Youtube videos, or online video content-- all of which I was able to do previously. Not sure if it was just since a failed attempt to do the recent update, or if it had been longer than that.
Inserting a DVD, the machine responds with 8 choices, I select VLC. The screen shows the <Play><Forward><Backward>, etc., buttons. Pushing <Play> and I get a brief flash and it just sits there. Doing it again, I get the same.
Youtube: I select a video to watch and rather than the viewing area turning black- it turns white, but no <Play> button--- just sits there. [Online videos content is the same-- nothing].
Your help would be appreciated,
katie
