Thank you both for your responses:
To aging-- If you are referring to the time prior to my posting my question, I did try the normal reload-mark-apply-apply route-- and nothing showed up.
But since reading the post indicated by Just18 [referring to post by Old-Polack] I did the following:
Normal upgrade with manual cleanup:
Do the normal Reload --> Mark All Upgrades --> Apply --> Apply upgrade. If no packages are listed as broken, proceed as usual. Some packages will be shown as being removed, without being replaced. Take note of these package names, for use later. Which packages these will be will vary, depending on what is actually installed on any given individual's system.
Making the change in my mirror as directed, I then tried the Reload, etc., again and got the following:
The following problems were found on your computer
E: Error, PkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks,
this may be caused by held packages
I am presuming this is caused by some packages being downloaded in an earlier update attempt-- If so, how do I clean this cache? Or what should I do at this point?
I am still on the screen <E: Error> and writing from another machine
thank you
