When I first started using lxde on my hp laptop, the only way I could get a readout of battery charge was via cli...sorry I don't remember the command. Later tonight I will fire up that computer and add details.

Anyway, after an update a month or two ago, I was happy to see that batti allowed me to check battery status from the panel at the bottom of the screen.

I fired up that computer yesterday and applied all updates.

Now batti and the cli command always show zero battery charge even when fully charged.

Any ideas?

ThirdOfSix,
More information is required ---
How long between updates?
What packages were updated? (Synaptic > File > History > date --- the complete list, please)
Did you try a reinstall of batti?
What have you tried to fix this?
