  • I Only 'Clean' Windows !.
What a Day  :(.
After working all day on this set up I have Got It Going and it now works well.
I reinstalled about three times any driver I could find to do with HP printing / scanning , but still it kep't refusing to work.
So realising we still had 'Windows' as a second boot ( but it's not used  ;D) I installed the printer drivers on 'Visa'
Still it would not work *'*x# pulled more hair (not much left now) .
Re-booting it once more into 'vista' I got this odd message about 'the printer door was not closed properly'
Giving the door that you open to put the inks in a good push ( there was a bit of plastic molding stopping it shutting! ) The printer started to make some noises.  ;D
While I was on windows I made sure it all worked ok.

Next booted up in to PCLinux again and it sprang to life again, did some test prints and scanning etc. and it all seems ok.

My daughters happy now she can take it to uni and have it it her room.
