<Solved> Korganizer won't work after KDE 4.8.3 update

Updated everything yesterday (pass server), got back my original desktop and everything
seems to work fine except Korganizer.  Korganizer displays but won't save new events or todo's.
I searched : /home/barry/.kde4/share/apps in my home folder.  Both std.ics and shared.ics files
are present.  I went through the KOrganizer configuration file in detail -- no joy.

Is there a bug in this latest version or am I overlooking something.

I reloaded synaptic and searched kde4 and kde-pim and everything seems to be installed.
Searched the forum and couldn't find any other posts on this topic.
 ???

You need to enable at least one calendar. If you don't have one already, you need to create one.

I have two calendars with events in them:  std.ics and shared.ics.  Both of them show events in the dropdown
calendar when left clicking the Digital Clock in the tray.  Nothing prints on the Agenda page.

Not sure how to attack this.  I did rename the std and shared.ics calendars and closed the program and reopened it and it generated the two calendars.  I previewed them in the Embedded Advanced Text Editor and they showed the test events that I generated in the .ics files.  Nothing appears on the Agenda page.

Got similar problems myself, and I have only recently managed to discipline myself into checking every morning.
I first created the ics file in Rainlender, a program designed to make life easier for people with poor memories by displaying relevant info on the desktop at all times.

Then it was not showing because it was collapsed, so hoover with mouse to locate and drag up to view.This shows calendars,simply check the calender.

Whoops!  Found the problem.  For some reason, the std.ics line was not checked in the side panel.
Simply checked the std.ics checkbox and up popped my events, todos, etc on my agenda, event lists, etc.
Korganizer seems to be working AOkay now. ;D
