simpletech9, my rpms from May this year worked ok for me, but I recently tried building e17 again on same version pclinux I used last time, but got stuck, maybe new dependencies needed or something, wondering if pclinux may be missing some, might have another go sometime in the future. Though hopefully a proper pclinuxos packager might make new e17 rpms for people here.

I just don't seem able to get eeze part of efl to build, think it must be some dependency missing or not recognised :(  so pcmanfm was needed to to see my usb pendrive in vbox,  e seems ok, think forecasts and rain flame an snow modules are ok but a few others built may not be working right, places module causes a crash.
Update: altered e spec file to enable hal and disabled eeze, then rebuilt e and efm found usb pendrive. Out today new 1.7.1, so installed svn version 78289
update:Places module now works again with e17 :)
Heres just a quick snapshot (pre 1.7.1).

Hi rpmTECH ,
I had a look through my history on synaptic,  but can't work out which library packages were part of e17. I started from a very bare pclinuxos  (which was available last year ) so had to install everything.
 However if you go to http://trac.enlightenment.org/e/wiki/Installation this was my start point and gives a list of requirements.  I tried to match these to pclinuxos and installed as many as possible.   I then downloaded the latest svn and tried to compile the first module eina.   To do this I opened a terminal changed to the eina dir and  tried :-
Code: [Select]
$ ./autogen.sh
$ make
$ make install && ldconfig (as root)
I then googled any errors and loaded any missing library packages.   The modules have to be compiled in the right order so I worked my way through one at a time fixing errors until I got the whole lot going.   Hope that helps

Sorry I lost track of this thread.  Forgot I even posted here!  I haven't played on my linux box for a bit.  I've been taking care of my little girl which consumes most of my days.  I'll see if I can get something going, would love to work with you on this!
