[Solved]: synaptic update failed
« on: August 20, 2012, 02:34:14 PM »
I know there are a bunch of posts with syncing and repo issues but my error is a little different. When I do "Reload Package Information" I get:

"Could not download all repository indexes"
http://ftp.heanet.ie/pub/pclinuxos/apt/pclinuxos/2010/base/pkglist.kde4: 404 Not Found [IP: 193.1.193.64 80]

Any suggestions? Thanks!

I thought all that manual removing and adding of packages would of hosed my install for sure... but except for a few minor tweaks and reconfiguring some widgets, it all went pretty smoothly!

Thanks a bunch!

I've done this 14 times, altogether, and every time was pretty much the same, with no issue being more than a few manual tweaks, to clean up the end of the process. Install the kde-plasma-addons package to get back all the panel widget options you had in 4.6.5.
