Hi dear friends,Well, it is working very well with me.What I did: I removed Gimp 2.8 and all the related plugins and deleted the sub folders gimp2.8 and gimp 2.6Then I re-installed Gimp 2.8 and the plugins I use with it.Everything (and I mean everything) started to work fine afterwards.Well, thank you all that commented on this topic,Best regards,
Ahh, I spoke to the guys at the Gimp G+ page and they told me it was a mispackaging error the dropping of the SVG import feature. Will return soon. Thank Goodness!!!Sincerely,
Our packaging or theirs?

The old Gimp 2.6 could import SVG files. I used to make a complex drawing in Inkscape and then import to Gimp to make the retouches and fine details. This new one, seems this capability was dropped.
Michael Natterer, one of the devs, told me it will be fixed, so, it's just a matter of time.Regards,
