Nvidia Drivers
« on: August 20, 2012, 05:18:19 AM »
OK boys and girls, I had to reinstall because something didn't work and not have too much time.

A past Nvidia Driver was pinned because it has some conflicts but I can't find the thread, I remember someone (maybe you John?) allowed me to download an RPM which I don't find either.

Is it possible to get it again?

My Nvidia Card GE Force GT 520
I shall pass this way but once;
any good therefore that I can do,
or any kindness that I can show
let me not defer nor neglect it,
for I shall not pass this way again.

Are you having the problem of videos that have a blue tint and some won't play ?
If so that was : flash-player-plugin-11.1.102.62-1pclos2012.i586.rpm

You can download from here:

Thank you Ramchu, last time I changed the Nvidia driver but this time besides the blue tint I don't have sound. I will try it as soon as I get home this afternoon.

Lack of sound is probably because it is being sent to the HDMI channel of the video card.

This is the way I always roll back the current nvidia drivers or for a backup (testing drivers).

So you have to download the 290.10 drivers manually from a mirror and install with  rpm -uvh *rpm (as su)

Lack of sound only in browser  :-\

Yes if the Browser defaults to sending the sound stream to the HDMI sound device.

I have had a GT 520 Nvidia card in a PC here using the latest Nvidia drivers.

Ramchu I haven't had time to try it, so much work and some health issues. JohnW put the links to the .rpm Nvidia drives but they are not there anymore.

Thank you for your interest, maybe Saturday I will try to do something about it.

Just18  sounds interesting,  did you change the flash-player-plugin?

I have no idea what you mean.
I don't have a 'flash' problem, or indeed a sound problem.

I was only responding to your comment about sound.

These are the older nvidia rpms you needed I guess?
