Opengl screensavers-oops!-already solved!
« on: August 18, 2012, 12:45:58 PM »
Hope I am in correct forum for this...

Before upgrading kde the other day, my opengl screensaver worked fine - now it doesn't.  None of my screensavers were working.  Checked synaptic, and had to install kde-artwork-kscreensaver, and rebooted.  Got my non-openGL screensavers to work on the test, but not the openGL screensavers.  When I choose an openGL screensaver in Configure Your Desktop/Display and Monitor/Screen Saver, and then press "test", either a window opens and closes quickly with me barely seeing it, or it opens a white or black screen with nothing happening.  I click desktop with the blank screen, and it takes me back to Configure Your Desktop/Display and Monitor/Screen Saver.

I searched a little, and saw where to make sure all the xscreensaver's are installed (especially xscreensaver-gl), which they all are.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

thank you , Gandy.  I searched, but didn't look far enough down the results.
