Where has Freecell gone?
« on: August 18, 2012, 10:39:16 PM »
kdegames-kpat which contains my favourite freecell game seems to be missing from synaptic, as also does kmahjongg (not the 3d mahjongg). Can they be found elsewhere or have they just disappeared?

Search for the game name alone, the package names have changed with KDE 4.8.3.

Of what use be there for joy, if not for the sharing thereof?

They are now named kde-games-kpat-4.8.3 and kde-games-kmahjongg-4.8.3.

Thanks for the suggestions but I still can't find them. And, when I search the sections they don't appear there.

Not in my synaptic they're not. I've used 4 different repos.

However, after choosing each repo and reloading I get the error message -

Could not download all repository indexes

The repository might be no longer available or could not be contacted because of network problems. If available an older version of the failed index will be used. Otherwise the repository will be ignored. Check your network connection and the correct writing of the repository address in the preferences.

The following problems were found on your system:

W: Release file did not contain checksum information for http://ftp.heanet.ie/pub/pclinuxos/apt/pclinuxos/2010/base/pkglist.kde4

Synaptic Section(s): kde4 is now empty. There is no more package list for it. Any Section(s): with kde4 must be substituted with just kde with out the "4".
