My lappy is set up to dual-boot Vista and PCLOS. Yesterday my Vista partition b0rked and it looks like I need to reinstall, but before I do that I want to burn a fresh copy of the PCLOS Live CD so I can restore the MBR (when I installed Linux I did so from my USB stick, and have reformatted that since then.)
I can't find the KDE 2012.02 iso file on any of the mirrors, just a pclinuxos64-kde-test05.iso file. And the URL for the main download location at distrib-coffee, the link being on the "KDE Desktop" page under the "Get PCLinux OS" menu on the home page, is 404-compliant. What gives? (I heard there's a trial KDE version out there somewhere and another release in the works, so that's probably related somehow. But I need 2012.02 just so I can fix my Windows installation.)
As an aside, I do have an older (PCLOS 2011.06) Live CD here. Can I repair the MBR using that CD without breaking my 2012 installation on my HD?
