I meant the interfaces on your computer.

Wireless now is at 192.168.1.101
Where was wired?

set the wireless interface to the same IP address the wired interface was on.

I don't know the WRT54G, but I would expect that the default settings would include a separation of wireless and wired, even if they can both access the Internet...this would be to prevent someone war-driving and accessing personal information on your wired network...

then how did it work before when the Win Vista was on Wifi and the PClinux on Wired? It has always been a mixed network and all could always talk to each other

I would check the setting on the router...

Found this.  If this poster needed NETBUI to fix it, then it is a routing issue...

any thing in particular, like I said it worked fin before I moved the PClin to wifi that is litraly all that has changed, aside from the changes you asked me to make, the Win Vista has all ways been Wifi

OK.  That wasn't clear from previous messages...

Try muungwana's suggestion of setting the IP...

what do you want me to set the IP to? Right now it is what it has been 90% of the time when the lin box was on wired... depending how many people were over they have both been every thing from 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.108 and every thing inbeween

can you log in as root and run the following command and post its output?

iptables -L -v

I have had a though...

because we are having so much trouble finding HEYYY! is going on here, and terminal seems to be able to see it but the GUI and Dolphin can not....

Is there maybe a way to try copying and or access in the file on the network from terminal?

Just thinking out loud as a way to maybe get there from here
