EeePC 701 Resolution Issues

I've been a few issues with EeePC 701 after Synaptic update.

For some reason, there's a message at startup saying that the video mode is undefined

"Undefined Video Mode Number 314"


Then after booting, the resolution seems to be kinda screwed .....
The desktop is no longer filling the entire screen. There's black bars on either side.

Nevermind - Fixed it now. Just needed vga=normal when booting and to change the
screen resolution in PCLOS Control
