Uncheck all of the boxes, and click OK.

I prefer a good configured firewall with the modem/router firmware.
I guess then to use the PCLinuxOS firewall (Shorewall) is not needed.

But depends on your connection hardware what' s needed.

I have an untangle server that provides DHCP and DNS to everything on the network, including hostname & IP to each computer attached.  I'm having trouble with this PCLinux mini LXDE 12.06 receiving it's hostname and identifying itself properly on the network.

I thought I had turned off all these servers, but must have been on the wrong screen.  In "network setup" I thought I had selected DHCP client and put in the IP address for the DNS server and the Gateway.  I guess the settings don't mean much?

Is there a way to get the mini version to update and become the full version?  I must be missing important pkgs.  apt-get dist-upgrade doesn't get everything.

No it does not. It says the firewall allows traffic to pass through on ports that are used by those services by default.

The ssh-server box is checked for example. This does not mean an ssh server is running or set to run. It means the firewall is configured to allow incoming traffic on port 22 because thats the port ssh server uses by default.

It does not say your system is providing dhcp, it says the firewall is configured to allow traffic on port 68 to pass through since that port is used by dhcp server.

If all those services are not running then the firewall is useless.
