I've been trying to figure this one out for awhile now and I'm betting it is simply something I overlooked lol. Essentially I install a new program through Synaptic and it does not show up anywhere in the Lancelot menu system except when you search it. For example I installed FreeCiv (happens with others as well) and I can search it in Lancelot but does not appear under games category or anywhere. If I switch back to the default menu it is there. Seems Lancelot is not refreshing its list of apps from what the system has listed. I can log out and back in but would rather it work without that everytime. I do have the most up-to-date packages etc... for everything in PCLOS so that isn't a problem. Any thoughts or helpful tidbits would be great, thanks.
