Don't know where I got that idea.  I tried out the shortcut right away without looking for it. When I did look it wasn't there and I find I'm still on kde 4.6.1, but yet I'm still fully updated. ???

The non-testers are still with 4.6.5, 4.8.3 is still in testing.
All that is is good. PCLinuxOS is.

That simple three-finger salute toggles Kwin on and off easily in KDE 4.6.5 too!  When I run a 1GB reserved RAM instance in VBox on my 2GB-total machine sometimes Kwin will balk about resources and disable itself.  After using VBox and shutting it down I can get my desktop effects back again with a simple ALT-Shirt-F12.  Works great.  ;D
