how do I enable it correctly ?

Follow what Leiche has posted ......  disable and uninstall it, reboot, install and enable it, and reboot again.

It should then be enabled.

****
So use again
task-remove-pulseaudio   <selecting this removes PA)
reboot

Install task-pulseaudio   <Install PA again>
pcc > enable pulseaudio <Enable PA>
reboot                           <IMMEDIATELY reboot without attempting to use it>

Good luck  ;)

How are you determining it is not working?

Are you launching PulseAudio Volume Control?

What is the result of doing so?

I didn't install the volume control initially.  It goes under the obscure name of 'pavucontrol'.
