SOLVED : Argument "" isn't numeric in division (/)

is everything OK ? i can't see iso file in home or root !!

Look in the root user's home folder, /root, not in the global root folder, / (which Dolphin calls "Root").

(You have to be root to access /root.)

i understand now 
i copy it now 
cp /root/pclinuxos.iso /home/raed

now i see the iso file

is there anything else or just burn it ? how can i use it ?
install it from dvd like install pclinuxos

Just click its icon (or double-click it if that's how you've set up your system). As you seem to be running KDE, that should by default open K3b ready to burn it. After that the easiest way of installing it would be from the live DVD that K3b creates.

If you want to write the iso to a flash drive instead of a DVD, you should of course not use K3b. Use Just 18's live USB creator instead. If it's installed by default, you'll find it in the main menu ("Applications"->"More Applications"->"Configuration"->"PCLinuxOS Live USB Creator"). If it's not installed you'll find it in Synaptic. I don't know whether there's a limit to the size of the isos it can handle, but if there is I'm certain it's high enough.

the iso file size is 3.1 GB

when i print "mylivecd --nodir ^/root/tmp pclinuxoskde.iso"
the iso file size is 894MB

Is this strange or not

It's more than strange. It's close to impossible, unless you've stumbled on a bug. Thinking ...

It may well be perfectly usable, but there's probably something in it that you intended to exclude from your remastered version. (Earlier versions of the iso, perhaps?)

Before you create your live USB you should format the stick with an ext4 (or ext3) filesystem. Any partition manager should be able to do it. (Even if it is a Gnome program I trust gparted more than the KDE partition manager.)

No limit I came across, thankfully.

The limit is with creating the ISO .....  size limitations apply there.

But, I have remastered a huge install, specifying a working directory with the mylivecd option (which does not automatically get deleted) and after it fails to create the ISO (due to size limitation), I have used the files in the working directory to create a liveUSB install on a prepared partition of a flash stick.

I did several about 11GB, and one about 15GB ......  my flash stick was 16GB max. (EDIT: Those are compressed sizes  )

So there is a way to have a huge live USB that cannot presently be used to create an ISO file.
