New trick for YouTube on Firefox
« on: May 12, 2013, 12:39:18 PM »
Perhaps this is old news, but I just discovered it.

When playing a YouTube video in Firefox, the space bar will pause/resume the video.  Much more convenient than trying to zero in on that tiny pause or resume icon.

Heck, it probably will work with most any video, not just YouTube...

Left and right arrow keys also work for back and forward.

Those are the same keys that work for the same purposes with Xine, Kaffeine, MPlayer, SMPlayer, and Dragon Player. The space bar works as pause in VLC, but the arrow keys do nothing. None of those keys do anything in KMPlayer.

You can also pause a YouTube video by clicking anywhere in the video window. Click again and it will resume.

I guess you could also use UP arrow to raise and DOWN arrow to lower volume :)
At least on Windows it is so and I am not sure how you Linux geeks do it ;) ;)
Packaging well will cure headaches of many :) But learning to package will cause headaches in many :(

Yes, it does work in Linux. That's one I didn't know. I have system volume control on this keyboard so I usually use that.

Well - I'm sure I would have discovered that, if I ever used any of those long enough to experiment.   :-[
