I did not see the Manufacturer and Device ID numbers anywhere .....  did I miss them?

I believe that might be a self contained card, so should work with v4l2 and a newer kernel ......  maybe try using VLC - open Capture Device.

No I do not have such a card  ;)

There is a large collection of DVB Core supported PCI and USB devices with config information listed at http://cateee.net/lkddb/web-lkddb/DVB_CORE.html

They were included in kernels from: 2.6.0 - 2.6.21

Including these:

Code: [Select]
vendor: dd01 ("Digital Devices GmbH"), device: 0002, subvendor: dd01, subdevice: 0001
vendor: dd01 ("Digital Devices GmbH"), device: 0003 ("Octopus LE DVB adapter")
vendor: dd01 ("Digital Devices GmbH"), device: 0003 ("Octopus LE DVB adapter"), subvendor: dd01, subdevice: 0001
vendor: dd01 ("Digital Devices GmbH"), device: 0003 ("Octopus LE DVB adapter"), subvendor: dd01, subdevice: 0002
vendor: dd01 ("Digital Devices GmbH"), device: 0003 ("Octopus LE DVB adapter"), subvendor: dd01, subdevice: 0010
vendor: dd01 ("Digital Devices GmbH"), device: 0003 ("Octopus LE DVB adapter"), subvendor: dd01, subdevice: 0020

All my DVB devices are USB these days so I am way behind on these.
