Hi!
PCLOS LXDE is running good and fast, but I have no Audio. My sound card in Windows had High definition Audio Codecs  and it looks like there is none for PCLOS LXDE. I find no drivers in Synaptic for my sound card. Anyone knows if there is solution for these?
Thanks

Open synaptic, and search for task-pulseaudio.
This will install all required packages.
Now open pcc (PCLinuxOS-Control-Centre) or (Configure Your Computer), go to Hardware > Sound Configuration > Enable pulseaudio, click ok, ok, and reboot.
Works?

I did what you said Leiche, but did not work :'(
My computer is a Dell xps420 and the only sound card PCLOS LXDE recognizes is the one installed by the ATI Video card installation, but not recognizes the sound card in the computer which is HD Audio Intel card/chip. I don't think Dell will have drivers for Linux based systems
Thanks any way. Perhaps I'll buy an external sound card from Creative? I don't know.
But thanks a lot for your try.

Okay , i have almost the same hardware, and it is here running.

Try again:
Open synaptic and search for task-remove-pulseaudio, install it. It will remove all package, and configuration files.
Reboot.
Now install task-pulseaudio, after it is installed, open pcc, and enable pulseaudio. Reboot, install pavucontrol.
You will pavucontrol find in audio section, what is now happens?

This may not apply in your case.

One of my computers has sound as part of the video card in addition to normal on board sound.

In order to get the sound associated with the video card to work, I had to go into the BIOS and change a couple of settings.

You might want to have a look in your BIOS setup stuff just in case.

Loles, reading your second post I understand you have two sound cards, in BIOS disable the one you don't want.

I had the same problem and that was the solution

No sound, could be due to a lack of the slider available in the volume control/mixer.

I would suggest running   alsamixer   and adjusting all the sliders up to the top, while playing a song.

Of course you first need to ensure the sound is not being sent to the HDMI output of the graphics card.

That is easily managed in pavucontrol 'Playback' tab.

You go to your first post and Modify .......  and edit the title.

You might also add in the thread how the problem was fixed so others can benefit from the information.
