RSS feed with important pclinuxos news

I want to ask if there is a pclinuxos rss feed with important (kde update, xorg update, apt update and anything that requires nonstandard actions from user) news?

We have Software Announcements but that's Texstar's realm and the devs hadn't really gotten the hang of using it. Then there are the Tweeter links of devs that were posted by Andy sometime ago.

So what's left is what goes on in Testing. I'm not sure if that section of the forum can be adapted into an RSS feed but I think it could be.

You could follow me on my Twitter and I'm sure you'll be able to follow the other devs as well. Although I haven't tweeted anything for the last couple of weeks. And that don't mean I haven't done anything.

oh, that's bad. I wanted to create script that will download feed, check if there is anything new and if there is, then it will notify user with knotify.

This is one of the one's I have in Akregator which seems to work - some sections don't appear to have a correct "board number" re RSS feeds - my New Package Request feed no longer works (tried lot's of different "combination" addresses but no joy)

I also have rss feeds from Texstar and Neals Twitter posts

These addresses just need to be copied and pasted into the rss app of choice - they work in Akregator and the 64bit version of rssowl

hmm thanks but still I want just news that are important from end user perspective, inform about the need of creating backups, visiting forum and so one.

I do daily and weekly backups so as part of my maintenance schedule and Tex's Twitter feed nearly always had update announcements and so on.....

If the PCLinuxOS General News and Announcements and other feeds aren't of any benefit to you all I can think is your gonna need to check into the forum

yeah, but If i would not stalk on #pclinuxos-pl i would miss apt-upgrade. All I want is to create a notification script that may help users to avoid mistake like this. Not all users of pclinuxos are the part of the community. Many do not visit forum until something stops working ;-)
