You need to create an autostart on SystemSettings > System Administration > Startup and Shutdown > Autostart.

Click Add Program. Look for Superkaramba in More Applications > Monitoring. When you click Superkaramba, you'll notice that the entry superkaramba %U on Select a program ...

You need to replace the %U with the actual <absolute_location/applet_name>. Click OK.

On the confirmation window that appears, click Application. Type in your preferred reference name for the autostart app, e.g. Superkaramba for APP. Click OK.

Now every time you login, the Superkaramba applet should launch.

I don't use any superkaramba widgets so not sure if this applies - if you look in System Tray Settings is there an entry there for making it Always Visible?

followed instructions . program started at boot . Next , The program started at boot but the app I am using has to be started manually. Is there any way to start the chosen app automatically    . by the way thanks  Archie..   P.S. the app I am using is a system monitor. can't find one that is very appealing in widgets

Specifying with the superkaramba command which applet you want to start at boot will do just that.

Quote
Replace the %U with the actual <absolute_location/applet_name>.

What you did was just select Superkaramba but left the %U out.

Example. I want start a system monitor called PCLOS-Monitor.theme at boot. The applet is at /home/archie/scripts/superkaramba/PCLOS-Monitor.theme.

The whole command should be:

Code: [Select]
superkaramba "/home/archie/scripts/superkaramba/PCLOS-Monitor.theme"
In addition, Superkaramba will also create a small config file located at /home/<user>/.superkaramba so it will look for the last setting for the applet. Note the dot in front of superkaramba.
