mylivecd problem
« on: June 25, 2012, 09:51:51 AM »
After installing pclinuxos-kde-2012.02 or pclinuxos64-kde-test05 i get the following error when I try to run mylivecd:

FATAL:  The 'draklive-install' program is not available, please install the draklive-install package.

Can anyone tell me exactly what package I need to install to get past this error?

Thanks,
Dan

If you are not seeing draklive-install in Synaptic then make sure you are doing a RELOAD to get the latest package list   ;)

For help see http://www.pclinuxoshelp.com/index.php/Synaptic_and_the_Repositories

ALL packages/apps/etc  for PCLOS are available through the Synaptic Package Manager .....  never install anything from elsewhere.

There are instructions on this forum on how to maintain your installation.

Please read and follow them for best experience with the installation.

draklive-install PCLinuxOS Live installer (This tool allows to install PCLinuxOS from a LiveCD.)

Hi dalane the Synaptic description is above, and it's basically saying that without that already installed on your system you wouldn't be able to install the remastered "LiveCD" that you create
PCLinuxOS 32bit KDE 4.10.1; kernel-3.4.11-pclos1.bfs & 64bit 3.2.18bfs; NVidia GeForce 8400GS 1GB 310.19 driver

Using search in Synaptic Package Manager did not locate draklive-install.  When I press the reload button it appears that it is attempting to download updates via the internet.  The PC I am installing onto is a "stand-alone PC" and can not be connected to the internet.

Can I download draklive-install rpm myself manually from somewhere and move over to my stand-alone PC?

Thanks.

If there is no better offer, I have uploaded the rpm to mediafire.

I have found that when installing from a livecd draklive is not installed.  Strange anomaly.
