« on: June 23, 2012, 08:33:08 AM »
Is there any software that i can use to create photo calendar? I'm taking great pictures and i would like to be able to create a calender with every month and pictures on it.

i never heard of such software but sounds useful

i think that what you want to do can be done with most image editors or apps like inkscape

gimp will let you insert text over a image too

libreoffice impress or draw can do that too

possibly latex could do it too but never used it enough to know if it can create a image or not

to get the calendar for the months you need this is a great place to get them www.timeanddate.com

i don't remember how to create borders or a grid here, maybe inkscape could be easier to use but it depends on what you know how to use better, maybe libreoffice draw is simpler form the month grid

Hi
There's a calendar application in Gwenview. Go to Plugins/Tools/Create calendar

Scribus does calendars as well and I just did a very quick web search and there seem to be a fair number of tutorial/faqs on that topic

Thanks for the replies,

I already have my pictures ready with text and effects on them so i only need a software that can take the pictures where i want to put them and give me months and dates.

I have Simply Calendar that i can use with Windows but it is not really complete so i'm looking for something that can also save the calendar in PDF so that it can be transfer on a MAC to be printed.

I'll take a look at Gimp, Gwenview and the other software that you recommended.

:)

if you want to export to pdf, you can do all that inside libreoffice

flphoto might do what you want ........  it has a Calendar output when Print is selected .....  so maybe Print To File and Calendar might get you what you need.

I don't know if it works .....  never tried it  ;)
