[SOLVED] Video Card Incompatible?
« on: June 22, 2012, 07:23:17 AM »
I'm not sure where to post this, but for the past week or more, I've noticed some things that started after an update. I suspect it might be my video card, but I wanted to pass along these screen shots to be sure. If it's NOT my video card, how do I fix this?

I have also seen some similar effects from a graphics card which the owner forgot to attach the extra power cable  :D

Have you tried changing Styles in

Configure Your Desktop > Common Appearance & Behaviour > Application Appearance > Style

and possibly Desktop Themes

Configure Your Desktop > Workspace Appearance & Behaviour  > Workspace Appearance > Desktop Theme

The desktop might need restarting.

If Desktop Effects are used it might also be worth turning them off (and back on again) to see if that "refreshes" the desktop

My video card is an RV620 [Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series]. The driver it's using seems to be Radeon HD 2000 & later(radeon/fglrx).

They're already turned off, but the above seems to have fixed it :)
