Printer needs drivers????

Got a Lexmark 2400 series.  Printer works fine with no problems but everytime I turn it on it says that I need to install the drivers
Any ideas??

It just seems to be an idiot message that keeps popping up all the time.
I got that when I had the two different HP printers. It still comes up and
the HP printer printer still works fine. Just ignore it.
