 - KDE SC 4.8.4 is available for download

The KDE Project announced earlier today, June 8th, the fourth maintenance release for the KDE Software Compilation 4.8 environment.

KDE Software Compilation 4.8.4 incorporates many bugfixes for the following applications: KAlarm, KGpg, KWin, and to the KHTML engine.

Apparently, the new release of KDE SC also includes important improvements for the Kontact suite, and bugfixes for the Dolphin file manager, as well as lots of performance improvements and corrections to other core components.

As always, KDE Software Compilation 4.8.4 will be a pleasant and safe update for all users. Click here to view the complete changelog of KDE SC 4.8.4.

KDE Software Compilation 4.8.4 will be available on the Kubuntu/Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) platform this weekend. Upgrade instructions can be found here.

Download KDE Software Compilation 4.8.4 sources right now from Softpedia. Gentoo Linux and openSUSE 12.1/11.4 users already have KDE SC 4.8.4 in their software repositories.

I know this wasn't posted directly as a package request, however it appears to be a package request.
I think you need to read the Forum rules for package requests, regarding requesting regularly updated packages.

http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php/topic,105321.0.html

(The following text is extracted from the above post):

Please do not request updates for
a) key components, system tools, and drivers: kernel, KDE, Nvidia/Ati-drivers., etc.
b) in-house applications: LibreOffice (lomanager), VirtualBox (getvirtualbox)
c) common applications, such as: Firefox, Thunderbird, DropBox, Calibre, FlashPlayer, Opera

This above list of monitored packages will be updated as needed.
