Hi jaydot

In all other circumstances Ksnapshot is able to perform a snapshot of the actual screen.
But not in the situation described in my post.

The Ken Burns effect is a popular name for a type of panning and zooming effect used in video production from still imagery.

Question is how did you end up with this effect? Where did you get it? All I have is the kipi-plugins and I also have no idea how to enable this effect so I could try and duplicate your issue.

Without any more information, it is difficult to give a proper response.

EDIT:
Ahhh, I think you'd need digikam installed.

Hey Archie

I have Digikam installed. All programs from repository. Here is where I start the slideshow:

Hi OleWilly,

Someone else with a stable install has to step in and help you out because ATM I am unable to install digikam  unless I rebuild it. I hope you'll understand.

Peace and much respect,
Archie

OleWilly,

With the Ken Burns transition effect on, I found that the Gwenview Advanced Slideshow time delay setting has no effect. The images seem to be changing every 5 seconds, no matter what. I was able to get screenshots by setting KSnapshot to Capture Mode: Full Screen and with Include mouse pointer unchecked. Pressing escape to get out of the slideshow sometimes killed the running KSnapshot, and sometimes it didn't.

The delay adjust is ok on this machine but I still not have a solution on the full screen capture issue  :(

Don't know what to tell you. I already had Digikam and KSnapshot installed on this LXDE desktop. But, I also installed Gwenview just to test this. Works just fine here. Maybe it has something to do with KWin or with that fancy-schmancy Compiz desktop you're running?  ;D

Just kidding about Compiz, by the way.
