, from looking at the Pic you uploaded, which is a 'Quick Launch Bar' from memory, ( very easily manipulated for Folders, or Executables, in Windows) - Back to PCLOS - you're maybe best off to just add the Apps you want to use often to 'Favourites', click on the far left hand 'Button' named PC, and there they are. However you have so many other options now, my advice is probably much too simple
I'm not sure if the dynamic your after is speed, or ease of use, I'd say just about all options have been offered.
As a PCLinuxOS user with no
dual boot, purely PCLinuxOS MiniMe
, for over a year I've found the default functionality to be best for me, as I don't have to spend a week trying to put something back to default.
I suppose the old saying 'Linux isn't Windows' true, and of course it's fantastic to "play" with all options in the DE's of PCLinuxOS, there comes a time ... as you can see from the excitement the seasoned Users have embraced this thead, to accept one option and move on.
I'm not saying to stop experimenting, or asking questions, that would be treasonable
