AMD Radeon Seymour HD6400M is the GPU driver in this HP notebook, together with an Intell i5 GPU/CPU chipset.
It's possible to boot the LiveCD in Vesa modus but after install there is no picture at all, only the boot menu.
When an extra external HDMI/DVI or VGA is connected you can see the machine is switched to this seccond display directly after the boot menu and everything is working, except the notebooks display.
Fidling around with different AMD/ATI drivers, including Intell's and settings, sometimes creates an 2 screen picture, but after reboot another black screen, and drakxconf is needed to restore the older drivers.
If someone has resolved this problem please let me know, or else we lose another Linux user.
This problem also occurs with other distro's but not with PCLinuxOS 2009.2
Howe come even the plymouth startupscreen is switched to the seccond screen even if there's no monitor connected ?
