On two computers that I have access to I can watch BBC videos, YouTube, etc. One of the computers is a 6 year old computer running PCLinuxOS 2009, the other one is an 11 year computer ( Athlon 1.3 , 768mb memory, 32mb video card ) running PCLinuxOS 2010.
I have access to 3 other computers ( 6 to 8 years old ) computers running 100% up to date PCLinuxOS 2012 but none of them will play BBC videos, YouTube, etc and one of the three has a Athlon64 3000+, 4g memory, 512 mb video card setup.
I looked for a how to section at the main PCLinuxOS website to restore the lost functionality of the earlier versions of PCLinuxOS but I could not find anything like that.
I also searched the forums using key words such as flash, videos, etc. but got nothing.
So how do I restore the ability to watch BBC videos, YouTube that earlier versions of PCLinuxOS can do but the current version is unable to ?
Why can't PCLinuxOS 2012 play BBC videos but PCLinuxOS 2010 can ?I think it is pretty obvious that PCLinuxOS 2012
CAN play the videos you have targeted.
Perhaps you are making the wrong assumptions and as a result, asking the wrong question.

Maybe if you think about it, you can come up with a better question about what's going on. ??
"
Have you not installed the proper codex needed? Is it a Flash Player problem?" ..Many other things could be wrong or configured incorrectly.
To make a statement that is not true, and then ask a question biased on your "untrue" statement leaves allot of room for wrong solutions to bubble up.
If you think that an updated version of PCLinuOS is incapable of playing some video types, that must be proven first.
(I have a fully updated PCLinuxOS and I have no problems with any video types)

We are friendly and We are helpful but we also stick to the facts.
I know,, this don't help but we are going to need some more information other than,
(
This one works, and this one don't) which is basically all you said.
