Hello,
I decided to make a new installation from scratch of my Host, so:
1.- I backed up all the VMs to 2 diferent external Hard Disks
2.- I formatted the SSD and installed PCLinuxOS LXDE version 01-2012
3.- Configured NVidia video
4.- Installed VirtualBox and the VMs
5.- task-printing-hp, and my printer worked fine.
6.- task-pulseaudio and pavucontrol,
but the microphone is not working.
6.1 I followed the installation recommendations of Just18 in this
post6.2 Now in the Host when I click in:
PulseAudio Volume Control I get the error: "
Connection failed: Connection refused" I did not have that error in my previous installation, it was working, now I have audio,
but not microphone and in Skype test call I can not hear my voice recording. I do not have access to Pulse Audio Volume Control due to that error.
6.3 I had completely removed both, task-pulseaudio and pavucontrol, from Synaptic, rebooted, reinstalled, Configured in PCC Audio, rebooted and same error,
any idea?In PCC Sound configuration of Host I have:
a. Driver Intel HDA driver (snd_hda_intel-ALSA) the one automatically selected by the LXDE Installer.
b. Enable PulseAudio, marked
c. Enable 5.1 sound with Pulse Audio, marked
d. Enable user switching for audio applications, not marked
e. Use Glitch-Free mode, marked
f.- In "Advanced", all values are the default ones.
I have the same setup that was working in the first LXDE Host installation, same hardware.
7.- I have a Motherboard ASUS P8 Z77-VLX with audio Realtek ALC887, 8 channel HD Audio Codec and an NVIDIA GEForce GTX570HD. My headset and mic are connected to the motherboard connectors.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Regards
