Setting a homepage in Jumanji
« on: December 27, 2010, 06:33:12 AM »
Jumanji is a superfast minimal web browser. When installed and launched it defaults to http://pwmt.com. To change this to whichever website you want to see when Jumanji is opened, do the following.

1. Open a root terminal.
2. Type
Code: [Select]
nano /usr/share/applications/jumanji.desktop3. Look for the line
Code: [Select]
Exec=jumanjiand append your desired URL.
Example: If you like Google Web Search to open when you launch Jumanji, the Exec line should look like
Code: [Select]
Exec=jumanji http://www.google.com4. Save and close the desktop file. Or press Ctrl+x and when asked to Save modified buffer, type y then Enter.
5. Open Jumanji and you're in business.

I hope this helps someone.

Necromancing alarm ..... ::) ::)

The problem with above is that if you want your homepage to appear (with keystrokes gh or gH) the original homepage does still appear.

You can avoid that be going to ~/.config/jumanji .  Make a file with the name jumanjirc.

In that file type:

Code: [Select]
set homepage http://www.google.com
save - done.
