And I enjoyed it as well.  Even though I did stumble over the timeline a bit...  Very good characterizations and completely natural dialog.

Thanks, Chief.  You've probably known a few engineers in your time, too.  This probably won't help at all, but I visualized the story to be shaped like a torc.

Yeah, but engineers don't think that way...  We think, this causes that and then that causes the next thing...  We're pretty much strictly linear thinkers.
