[Solved] Blue Movies
« on: May 24, 2012, 08:16:16 PM »
After the a recent software update which included Firefox 12.0 as well as Nvidia drivers and Xorg files. Videos on Youtube are now showing blue people. :o

It seems that the color palette is out of wack. Reds in videos are showing as Blue and Black is showing as transparent. This strange video behavior bleeds through to other tabs in the browser with black on the current tab that overlays any video black on hidden tab, becomes transparent.

Even some windows that have black text, if put in front of a video opened in Firefox, the black text will become transparent in places.

Had this issue once before about 2 years ago and it disappeared when upgrading to PCLOS 2011. Now it seems to have re emerged.

Anyone know what causes this to occur?

Look a little in the forums it's a known issue and can be solved
I shall pass this way but once;
any good therefore that I can do,
or any kindness that I can show
let me not defer nor neglect it,
for I shall not pass this way again.

Thanks, I did have a look but don't seem to be pulling up this issue in my searches. Any suggestions for the keywords to search under? Not sure if the issue is the video driver, firefox, xorg, adobe flash...

LOL. I never would have guessed someone else not only reported the same issue but came up with the same cheesy title...

Next time I'll just search for my post title before I make the post.

Thanks everyone. So it was a problem with Flash. I should have known.  ::)

Problem solved. Rolled back to the old flash player.
