Just tell us with enough time, a few tequilas and we all will understand fine

no, aguardiente, a bit less alcohol(29%) but almost a litter of it  ;D

since i don't drink often(maybe 1 or 2 times per year), that was the problem but when you are with friends you rarely say no  :D

about the problem, since opengl doesn't work and the app supposedly should work directly i only see one solution, virtualbox running xp to install and run starcraft

also could be good to report the error to wine since this is a really old game with perfect support

virtualbox is a popular app that allows you to create a virtual pc contained inside your pclinux install

in this virtual pc you can install win xp, win 7, pclinux, between many other os

inside this virtual machine you will have partial access to the resources of the real pc like ram, cpu and cpu, the rest is emulated like sound card, video card, network card, hard disk and dvd drive

you can compare it to a console emulator but it will allow you to do alot more than just play console games

inside this virtual installation you can put a os and over it install starcraft

as you see this is a extra step that could be unnecessary if you are dualbooting with another windows os but many of us prefer it because it allows us to keep running linux and the virtual machine can be isolated from internet if you wish and won't have full access to your hard disk

To install it you would have to boot it anyway!

If using an ISO you set VBox to use that ISO like a liveCD.

Yes, they are. You install Windows in the VirtualBox window, just as if you were installing it to a regular PC. Once you complete the install, Windows will boot and run in the VirtualBox window on your Linux desktop. You will literally be running two operating systems at the same time.
