yes, stability of kdenlive is just to bad... Hopefully when lightworks finally arrives on linux we will get decent editor.
I ended up coughing up $50 for CyberLink's PowerDirector. It did everything I wanted and didn't crash on me. A rare Windows win. Video editing is still a M$ win area I think.
I know the rules around here well enough. Asking what software might be up to the task didn't seem to violate the spirit of the forum rules.I don't regret using the 64 bit version day in and day out. It's been pretty darn solid for me. Based on the reviews of read around the web video editing software is probably the last hold outs for Windows. I just wanted to know what the possibilities were and what experiences people had had trying to do similar work. I would have asked exactly the same question had I been using the 32 bit version.
