I replaced
as root
the libflashplayer.so
from /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/
with the one from the archieved adobe .rpm files
How can I get the libflashplayer.so from the archieved adobe .rpm files? Thank you for your orientation.

it is the old nvidia video card combined with the new flash player codec what is giving the problem isn't?

that link, is the old flash that is being used as solution in other posts DeBaas?

More ways to a solution ;) from other posts:
If you add testing to your repo there is the alternate solution:
remove flash-player-plugin
add flash-player-plugin11.1
It's the same 11.x as in my dropbox link.
Added also the 10.x (final) version so you have more options.

OK I hate to piggyback on this topic but it fits my problem. I just did an update today and noticed the drivers for nvidia were in the update. Now flash won't work as in the first post (youtube worked last nite). It looks like the fix would work for me also. So I should remove flash from synaptic, D/L rar then unpack and run file as a executable program correct? ???

Sorry for the noob questions but PCLinuxOS normaly Just Works. BTW have used PCLOS since the 2007 release

TIA ;D

remove flash-player-plugin from Synaptic
add testing in your repo line
change
main updates nonfree kde4 games
to
main updates nonfree kde4 games testing
reload and search for flash-player-plugin11.1
mark and apply
remove testing from repo

should do ;)
Ed

P.S. the download from the rar file is the unofficial way.

yes, unfortunately this problem with flash happens from time to time and we used to copy directly the flash plugin by hand, fortunately we can do this now more simply by following those steps

Hi unist,

Just to start at the beginning.
Go; http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/

In my case I also have Java and Shockwave Flash up to date.
There are others plugins that require attention.
(I still don't know how to make the insert of my shot.png image as yours, I tried with the Insert Image button but couldn't make it)
Update:
This is what I get: http://postimage.org/image/qg2g2xe7z/969707a7/

the insert image will create this

[/ img]

inside that you can put the address of the image like this

theaddresoftheimage.theextensionofthefile[/ img]

i added a couple spaces to the img fields so it could be showed

I tried with the insert image /home/hugo/Documents/shot.png[/ img]
and http://home/hugo/Documents/shot.png[/ img]
But obviously both are wrong
My file is shot.png and it is located in /home/hugo/Documents
