[Solved] Do E17 libraries and files in the repo get updated?

Hi guys. I am using E17 (on top of PCLOS LXDE version). I asked this question already. I got no answers. I have a problem with the scale module. Actually, it is not working. It does nothing when it is loaded. I am familiar with the way it works and I have activated it in Bodhi 1.4, so the problem must be in the files which are in the repo, not E17 original repos. Anyways, I will appreciate it if one of the maintainers of PCLOS E17 (if there any!) help me solve this problem.

Yes, e17 libraries and "files" are updated, when there are any. The packages have not been updated for some time. The e17 packages are like any others in the repositories. If there are updates available, you can apply them to your system, as you would any other packages.

I have a problem with the scale module. Actually, it is not working. It does nothing when it is loaded. I am familiar with the way it works and I have activated it in Bodhi 1.4, so the problem must be in the files which are in the repo, not E17 original repos.
 

"It is not working" and "It does nothing" are not really descriptions. What have you tried to make it work?

Step 1. Load the Scale Windows module from the Look section of Module Settings.
Step 2. (a) Assign a hotkey combination for the action, or
           (b) Load the Scale gadget to your desktop somewhere from the Gadgets Manager.
Step 3. Enable the Composite module from the Look section of Module Settings.
Step 4. Open some windows on your desktop.
Step 5. Click the Scale gadget on your desktop to scale all open windows.
Step 6. Left-click somewhere on your desktop to "unscale" all open windows.

Weird! I did all what you said (that's why I mentioned it working on another distro), but still when I click on scale gadget on desktop, or I press the hotkey, nothing happens. And by nothing happens I mean I don't see the windows scaled like it happens for you in the snapshot. By the way, when I open the modules setting window, and choose the scale module, in the small description window at the bottom, it says "Not meant for users ..."! Do you see such description as well?

Yes, it says "Not meant for users. Basis for building new ones." By "new ones", I assume it means new modules. Do you have compositing enabled? It won't work unless it is on. And, just in case you are using ecomorph, you cannot have ecomorph and compositing both enabled. It has to be one or the other.

Yes, I turned off ecomorph, and turned on compositing. I am surprised! I have a PCLOS installed on a VBOX. The scale module is working on it, but it does not work on my other laptop which runs PCLOS on HDD! I need to do what you said carefully. I will give you the updates.
