RAT cyborg mouse w/PCLOS

I have a RAT 7 cyborg mouse and when I use it, it only registers clicks randomly in PCLOS.

It seems to work OK in W7. But randomly (with mouse clicks only) in PCLOS (same deal in Mint too).

Any ideas would be great.

Actually, I sort of told a lie. It's not my mouse but rather a friend of mine, who I'm trying to educate about the ins and outs of linux (PCLinux to be more precise).

Problem is he's a big gamer... not sure we'll ever totally ween him from M$.
