To My Beloved Mother. Thank you for my life. May you be resting in Peace.

There is a 5th dimension, beyond that which is known to man.It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity, between science& superstition,& it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call PCLINUXOS!

Joe... I don't know what to say as no words will bring Your mum back.

I lost my mother exactly one year and 10 days ago. She was only in her early 50's... so I know what You feel now.

All I can say is hang in there. Time heals wounds. It really does. I hope that She had a good and full life and I am certain She is in a better place now.

May She rest in Peace...

Regards and condolences from my Fiance and myself.

Andrzej

Thank you Andrzej. Very nice of you to post that. I am sorry for your loss as well.

My Mother passed some time ago now. On Mothers Day though it is just like it was the other day.
Time does ease the loss but you never forget. She had a good life but died much too young.

Thanks again to both you and your fiance.

My Mom died 31 years ago.  She was 67, I was 27, now I'm 58.  I can still remember her like I saw her yesterday.

Just stumbled on this thread, Joe.

May she ... may she live in your heart.

Mine died in February and this caused my absence for some months here.
Was relaxing, to say :)

Really sorry for you, Joe.

My mom's been gone since last year, and, with me living in Germany (she lived in Rhode Island), I couldn't even make it in time to her funeral. I was in even closer contact with my dad (of course), so we more or less got through the whole thing on the phone.

I'm just glad that she was 82 when it happened, with a complete life behind her.

No matter when or where, it's a big hole in your life.

So sorry, Joe!

My condolences to everyone who has lost their mom or dad. My dad passed away in 2002 just six days after my 50th birthday. I am still fortunate to have my mom with me and I treasure every day I have with her. I know my dad is in a better place and we will see him again when our time here is up but you never stop missing those you love who have gone on.

It is good to see this thread revived. It is always good to remember our Mothers.

Vorteggs, I know that when you left it was because of losing your Mother. Never an easy thing.

Like I said earlier in this thread, it has been some time since my Mother passed away. However, it never goes away as many of you here well know.

HERE'S TO ALL OUR MOTHERS !!! THOSE THAT ARE GONE AND THOSE THAT STILL SMILE EACH DAY ON THEIR CHILDREN.

I missed this thread when it originally came out.  It was this date, May 13, 2012, on Mothers Day, that was the last day that I saw my mother alive.  We went to church as a family, which is not easy to do when the mother's kids have their own family and live some miles apart.  Having our last day together in the church that we grew up in, it could not have been scripted any better, and it was so appropriate.

She passed away 11 days later during surgery.  I am glad this thread caught my eye with its revival.

And Joe, that is a beautiful picture.  Thanks for sharing.

I didn't realise, Joe, that that was a post to the Mother's Day.
We have not such a Day here.

Yeah, it will come to everybody to face such sadness.

I would like my child to not be sad when I die.
I'd like they, like Spartans, would say "he fulfilled his life to the end and subsequently died" :D
 :) ;) :D ;D
