Flash Player Does Not Work After Upgrade

The flash player issue is with the current nvidia drivers, don't know  with the driver (173.x) for the FX series.

I have no Nvidia FX card so I can't test it.

Just an FYI. This is currently working for me:

Two other computers with nVidia cards play flash videos. I only had the problem with a much older Ati card. Rolling the flashplayer back to version 11.1.102.62-1pclos2012 works on it with Firefox version 12.0.

I have noticed that the 11.1 version slams the CPU usage to 100% and just stays there on an XFCE installation when my buddy plays Texas Quick Draw poker on Facebook.  
FWIW, I extracted the actual plugin itself from the RPM file and stuck it into the Mozilla plugin folder on a Dell GX150 running a 12.04ver distro that starts with X & ends in U and it fixed the black box syndrome on that machine too.  
The internal fan revs up looking at videos on this Dell machine too so I'm assuming that this flash plugin is a real CPU pig.

I have Firefox 12 and Flash Player 11.1.x installed, and have an ATI Radeon 7000 video card.

My original problem, "Flash Player Does Not Work After Upgrade", was that the Flash Player would not work at all after upgrading to the new (11.2.x) version.  Uninstalling the new version and re-installing the previous version did not resolve the problem, because the player then would just crash.

With no other intentional changes by me to the system, the Player started working yesterday.  I have no idea why.  I plan to follow advice from this discussion and pin the 11.1.x version so that Synaptic will not update in the future.
