You say you have 4 working ports and one of them has the hub plugged in? Looking at the list above, I see 6 devices, a Belkin 7 port hub, a laserjet printer, a SATA link, mouse, keyboard and a webcam. So, is the hub not working when plugged into the front ports? Is it the SATA link that's not working?
Kinda hard to pinpoint when all your hardware is being enumerated. Can you be more specific?
Have you looked at your Synaptic installation logs? You can find them in the /root/.synaptic directory. You need root privileges to view them. You can also read the logs by starting Synaptic, then click on File > History.
The 4 ports are in a 2.0 card that I installed. I have a 3.0 card installed too. That may be the SATALink?? The 7 port hub is plugged into the 2.0 card and when I plug a flash drive into it, the flash drive led flashes but nothing comes up. The rest of it is correct.
What am I looking for in the logs?
